Oğuz Savaş — Biography

Oğuz Savaş is a retired Turkish basketball player, born on 13 July 1987 in Balıkesir, who played in the center/power-forward position. Standing over two metres tall, he spent his career with clubs including Ülkerspor, Fenerbahçe, Darüşşafaka, Beşiktaş, Bursaspor, and Bahçeşehir Koleji before signing with Çayırova Belediyespor in 2023. He also earned caps for the senior Turkish national basketball team over the course of his playing career.

Savaş announced his retirement from professional basketball in May 2025, closing out a career strongly associated with Fenerbahçe, where he was recognised by the club for his contributions. Since retiring, he has remained connected to the Turkish basketball community, sharing his perspective on the sport in the media.
