Ömer Karancı — Biography
Ömer Karancı was born on 25 June 1992 in Varsak, a town in Antalya. He took up football at the age of ten with Varsakspor and joined Beşiktaş's youth system in 2006, developing as a midfielder. He made his first appearance for the club's PAF side on 12 January 2008 and played for the A2 team until 2010, scoring five goals in 47 PAF matches over two years. He wore the senior Beşiktaş shirt for 45 minutes against Hazar Lenkeran in Oktay Derelioğlu's farewell match, and in 2009 he scored in a friendly against the under-21 national team.
He also moved through the national youth ranks. He won his first cap for Turkey's U-16s against France on 5 December 2006, made 23 appearances and scored three goals in that category by June 2008, and was part of the squad that won the Easter tournament in Malta. He later played three times for the U-17s.
Having never signed a professional contract with Beşiktaş, Karancı agreed a five-year deal with Adanaspor ahead of the 2010-11 season and made his professional debut on 18 October 2010, coming on for the last five minutes against Diyarbakırspor. In early 2016 he joined the midfield of Aydınspor 1923, and he later played for Amed Sportif. He also spent time on loan from Adanaspor at the Second League side Tarsus İdman Yurdu.
