Petar Naumoski — Biography

Petar Naumoski is a retired point guard born on 27 August 1968 in Prilep, in what is today North Macedonia. Standing 1.95 m tall, he spent much of his playing career in Turkey and Italy, and was naturalized as a Turkish citizen under the name "Namık Polat."

While playing for Efes Pilsen, he helped the club become the first Turkish team to win a European trophy, the 1996 Korać Cup. After retiring from the court, Naumoski moved into politics, serving as a member of the Macedonian parliament for Skopje between 2002 and 2006 as part of the VMRO-DPMNE party.
