Petek Dinçöz — Biography

Petek Dinçöz, born Didem Ezgü on 29 May 1980 in İzmir, lost her father as a child and left school at 14 to pursue modeling. She placed second in a 1997 beauty pageant in Cyprus and, after two years of training, was named its Press Beauty in a follow-up edition in 1999. She built an early career singing as a headline act in Istanbul nightclubs, becoming one of the longest-serving performers at the well-known Maksim club. Her 2001 debut single Bende Kaldı was a hit that brought her a music award, and releases such as Foolish Casanova, Frekans and Yalanı Boşver kept her on the Turkish pop scene through the 2000s and 2010s. She hosted the morning show Arım Balım Peteğim on Star TV from 2007 to 2008 and later on Kanaltürk, and fronted the game show Çarkıfelek in 2011. As an actress she appeared in the series Sırılsıklam, Zehirli Çiçek, Nehir and Roman Havası, and in the films Keloğlan Kara Prens'e Karşı and Babamın Kemanı. She continues to perform live, and her 2026 summer concert in Northern Cyprus, along with an image change earlier that year, drew wide press coverage.
