Ramazan Yıldırım — Biography

Ramazan Yıldırım was born on September 7, 1975, in Peine, Germany. Of Turkish descent, he built his playing career mainly on the right flank and in midfield. He began his professional career in 1994 with TuS Celle FC, went on to spend one season in the 3. Liga with Eintracht Braunschweig, and three seasons in the 2. Bundesliga combined with Rot-Weiss Essen and Kickers Offenbach, also turning out for Jahn Regensburg.

After retiring as a player he became a youth coach at Eintracht Braunschweig, leaving that role in January 2011, then took charge of Rot-Weiss Essen's reserve side in the summer of 2011. During the winter break of the 2011-12 season he was appointed manager of Regionalliga Nord side VfB Lübeck, a post he left in December 2012. On June 28, 2013, he took over at Sportfreunde Lotte, holding both coaching and sporting-director roles there, before leaving the club on January 3, 2014.
