Rıdvan Bolatlı — Biography

Rıdvan Bolatlı was born on 2 December 1928 in Ankara and spent his career playing as a defender. Turning out for Ankaragücü between 1952 and 1954, he was part of the Turkish national squad that competed at the 1954 FIFA World Cup finals; some sources also credit him with representing Turkey at the 1952 Helsinki Olympics.

Remembered as one of the players from Turkish football's early generations, Bolatlı died in Ankara on 31 March 2022. His passing was widely covered in the Turkish press, which noted his place among the former internationals of the national team.
