Sadık Çiftpınar

Sadık Çiftpınar — Biography

Sadık Çiftpınar was born in 1993 in the Seyhan district of Adana. A Turkish centre-back, he was nine years old when watching Turkey finish third at the 2002 World Cup inspired him to ask his mother to enrol him in a team, and he started at the amateur club Seyhan Belediyespor. After six or seven years there he went to trials and was accepted into Galatasaray's academy. At first he played right-back because of his small, slight build, before switching to centre-back, and he won the A2 League title with Galatasaray's A2 side in 2010-11. Before 2013-14 he transferred to Trabzon Akçaabat. He played for Turkey at every age level and captained the side at the 2013 U-20 World Cup.

He joined Yeni Malatyaspor in January 2015 and was part of two promotions from the TFF Second League up to the Süper Lig, making his top-flight debut on 24 September 2017 in a 4-2 win over Kardemir Karabükspor. On 5 January 2019 he signed for Fenerbahçe on a three-and-a-half-year contract. He parted ways with Fenerbahçe in August 2021 and returned to Yeni Malatyaspor, then moved to Kasımpaşa in the summer of 2022.

He rejoined Yeni Malatyaspor in November 2023 and was presented as Sakaryaspor's new signing in June 2025. He left Sakaryaspor in January 2026 and at the end of that month officially agreed terms with TFF 2. Lig side Şanlıurfaspor.
