Samet Geyik — Biography
Samet Erdi Geyik is a Turkish professional basketball player born on January 12, 1993, in Manisa, standing 2.06 meters tall and playing as a power forward. He began his career with Bornova Belediye in the 2009-10 season, moved to Tofas in 2011 and to Darussafaka for the 2015-16 season, then was loaned to Pinar Karsiyaka in January 2016 before joining EuroLeague club Anadolu Efes later that year.
He went on to sign with Turk Telekom in 2020, Fenerbahce Beko in 2022 and Galatasaray in 2023, parting ways with Galatasaray in June 2025 and returning to Karsiyaka the following month, where he served as team captain. After the 2025-2026 season he left Karsiyaka and transferred to Gaziantep Basketbol in the summer of 2026, continuing his career with the new club.
As a youth player he represented Turkey at the under-16, under-18 and under-20 levels, winning bronze at the 2011 FIBA Europe Under-18 Championship, and he later played for Turkey's senior national team at the 2016 FIBA World Olympic Qualifying Tournament in Manila.
