Selçuk Yula — Biography

Selçuk Yula was a Turkish footballer, born on November 8, 1959, in Ankara, and remembered above all as a prolific striker. He spent the bulk of his career at Fenerbahçe, where he is regarded as one of the club's most memorable forwards, and he also played for arch-rival Galatasaray during his career. Yula was the Süper Lig's top scorer in both the 1981-82 and 1982-83 seasons, and he represented Turkey at both youth and senior international level.

He died in Istanbul on August 6, 2013. In the years since, Fenerbahçe supporters and club officials have continued to hold memorial gatherings at his grave, and he remains remembered as one of the standout goalscorers in Turkish football history.
