Selim Teber — Biography
Born Ufuk Selim Teber on 7 March 1981 in Frankenthal, West Germany, he holds German and Turkish citizenship. He was an attacking midfielder who could also play as a striker. He began playing at six in the youth ranks of ASV Edigheim, passed through SV Pfingstweide and VfR Frankenthal, and joined Waldhof Mannheim in 1999, spending four years there as a professional. He won five caps for Germany's under-21 side.
In 2002 he moved to Kaiserslautern and was loaned to Salzburg in 2004 and to Denizlispor in 2005. He then spent three seasons at Hoffenheim and was part of the team that won promotion to the 2. Bundesliga. In 2009 he signed with Eintracht Frankfurt and afterwards joined Kayserispor. In July 2011 he parted ways with Kayserispor and agreed a three-year deal with Samsunspor, but an injury limited him to three appearances and he left at the end of the season.
He played for Kardemir Karabükspor in 2012-13 and in September 2013 signed a two-year contract with MKE Ankaragücü, for whom he scored once in 14 matches; the deal was terminated early on 16 October 2014. He is married and has a daughter.
