Serhan Yavaş — Biography

Born in Istanbul on 27 March 1972, Serhan Yavaş enrolled at the Sports Academy of Marmara University after finishing school and worked for a time as a tennis instructor before building early recognition as a model. He made his professional acting debut in 1995 in the French co-production Ester ve Sarah, and in 1996 appeared in the music video for Muazzez Ersoy's song İntizar. He had his breakthrough playing Şekip in the Show TV series Örümcek, which ran from 1997 to 2001. In the years that followed he played Menderes in the Fox series Yemin, Nuri in the 2009 film Yağmurdan Sonra, and Harun in the atv series Unutulmaz; in 2009 Kadir Has University named him its most popular actor of the year. He went on to play Ömer in Adını Kalbime Yazdım (2013-2014) and Talat Çamay in Seni Kimler Aldı (2017). Across his career he has also appeared in advertising campaigns for brands including DenizBank, Bosch, Tofaş and Nestle Kit Kat.
