Serkan Balcı — Biography

Serkan Balcı was born on 22 August 1983 in the Nazilli district of Aydın. He began his professional career in Gençlerbirliği's youth ranks, mostly playing as a midfielder for the club before later settling into a right-sided defensive role. Over the course of his career he also wore the colors of Süper Lig sides Antalyaspor, Mersin İdmanyurdu, Trabzonspor and Fenerbahçe, and progressed through Turkey's U19, U20 and U21 sides before earning caps for the senior national team.

Standing 1.73 meters tall, Balcı moved into sports broadcasting after retiring from playing. Throughout 2026 he appeared as a live-broadcast pundit on several football programs following Fenerbahçe matches, occasionally making headlines for his outspoken commentary.
