Damat Koğuşu (Groom's Block) is a 2017 Turkish-British drama/crime film directed by İlker Savaşkurt. Written by Mehmet Kala and Şeref Nokta, the film is inspired by real events and focuses on the so-called 'groom's blocks' in Turkish prisons, where men convicted of sexual offenses are held. Through the story of Yusuf, a newcomer to the block, the film examines the dark side of justice, crime, and the penal system.
