Hitit Günəşi

Hitit Günəşi ("Hittite Sun") is a 1956 Turkish documentary directed and produced by Sabahattin Eyüboğlu. Shot in black and white on 16mm film and running 28 minutes, it is counted among Turkey's earliest archaeology-themed documentaries.

Rather than following a conventional narrative, the film surveys traces of Hittite civilization in central Anatolia through sun-disc reliefs and imagery, using them to highlight the symbolic and life-sustaining weight the sun carried in that ancient culture.
