L'Échappée belle

L'Échappée belle is a 1996 French comedy and the directorial debut of Étienne Dhaene, who described it as "a humanist, sentimental comedy close to the films that made me dream of one day directing my own first picture." The screenplay was written by Laurent Dussaux.

The cast includes Jean-Marc Barr. Upon release, the film was not well received by critics, who pointed in particular to the weakness of its script.
