Men or Not Men

Men or Not Men (Italian: Uomini e no) is a 1980 Italian war drama written and directed by Valentino Orsini. The screenplay adapts the novel of the same name by the Italian author Elio Vittorini, one of the best-known literary works dealing with the wartime Resistance in Italy. Shot in Italian and running about 105 minutes, the film features Monica Guerritore and Renato Scarpa among its cast. Orsini brought Vittorini's story of conflict and moral struggle during the Second World War to the screen, continuing his engagement with politically and historically charged material.
