Pure fiction

Pure Fiction is a Belgian drama film released in 1998 and directed by Marian Handwerker.

The story draws its inspiration from the Dutroux affair, the case that shook Belgium in the mid-1990s. The principal performers are Michel Karchevsky, Patrick Goossens, Anne Coesens and Michel de Warzée, and the cast also features Lubna Azabal — who would go on to become a familiar face of European cinema — alongside Raphaëlle Bruneau.
