Revenge of the Musketeers

Revenge of the Musketeers (original title D'Artagnan contro i tre moschettieri) is an Italian swashbuckling adventure film from the early 1960s, directed by Fulvio Tului. Drawing on Alexandre Dumas's famous characters, the picture stages a clash between D'Artagnan and the celebrated three musketeers in a story of duels, intrigue and daring exploits. The screenplay was written by Tito Carpi and Roberto Gianviti. The ensemble cast includes Fernando Lamas, Roberto Risso, Franco Fantasia, Folco Lulli, Gabriele Antonini, Renzo Palmer, Ugo Sasso and Carla Calò, alongside Ignazio Leone and Benito Stefanelli. Shot in Italian and running roughly ninety minutes, it is a typical example of the period's popular Italian costume adventure cinema.
