The Sacred Spirit

The Sacred Spirit (Spanish: Espíritu Sagrado) is a 2021 Spain–France–Turkey co-production written and directed by Chema García Ibarra. Billed as a tragicomedy that plays with science-fiction themes, it follows the ordinary rhythms of small-town life alongside threads of mystery, belief and the search for extraterrestrials.

The cast is led by Nacho Fernández, Llum Arques, Joanna Valverde and Rocío Ibáñez. The film premiered at the 18th Seville European Film Festival, where it was nominated for the AC/E Award for Best Spanish Film Direction.
