Warrior of the Lost World, also released as Mad Rider, is an Italian-American post-apocalyptic science fiction action film written and directed by David Worth, starring Robert Ginty, Persis Khambatta and Donald Pleasence. The film first appeared in Italy in 1983 under the title "Il Giustiziere della terra perduta", arriving amid the wave of post-apocalyptic productions inspired by the success of the Mad Max films in the early 1980s. It was later reissued on home video and television under the alternate Italian title "I predatori dell'anno Omega". Set in a ruined dystopian world, the story follows a lone warrior who confronts an oppressive regime, played out against the bleak backdrop of a collapsed civilization. The English-language production runs roughly ninety minutes and mixes action with dark, speculative imagery of a society after catastrophe.
