Zangezur

Zangezur is a 1938 Soviet film directed by Hamo Beknazaryan together with Yakov Dukor. A work in the historical-revolutionary genre, it depicts the fighting that swept the Zangezur region during the civil-war years. Hıraçya Nersesyan and Çolak Amerikyan appear in the cast of this Armenfilm production. The film is Armenia's contribution to the revolution narratives so common in 1930s Soviet cinema.
