Uğur Yıldırım — Biography
Uğur Yıldırım is a Dutch-Turkish footballer and coach, born on May 8, 1982, in Apeldoorn, the Netherlands. Standing 1.78 meters tall, he played mainly as a forward and midfielder for clubs including AGOVV Apeldoorn, Sivasspor, Gaziantepspor, Go Ahead Eagles, Kasımpaşa, and Heerenveen. Holding dual citizenship, he chose to represent the Dutch national team in 2005 and earned a single cap for the Netherlands.
He was particularly known for his free-kick ability, once triumphing over Zinedine Zidane at a free-kick tournament held in Marbella, and further showcasing this skill during his spell at SC Heerenveen. After retiring as a player, Yıldırım moved into coaching, first working with the Go Ahead Eagles youth academy before becoming an assistant coach at CSV Apeldoorn.
