Yalçın Hafızoğlu — Biography

Yalçın Hafızoğlu is a Turkish television actor who also comes from the rock and metal scene as a drummer and record producer. Having joined the cast in November 2025, he plays Emir in Kızılcık Şerbeti. Earlier, viewers knew him from atv's Eşkıya Dünyaya Hükümdar Olmaz, where he played Hızır Ali Çakırbeyli.

His path ran from engineering to the stage: he studied environmental engineering at Kocaeli University and then began a theatre master's at Haliç University. Music came before acting. He took drum lessons with Yücel Berrak from 1999 to 2003, and in 2006 won Best Instrument at a high-school music contest while his school band took Best Composition. Between 2008 and 2015 he played in blues, rock and metal bands and appeared on Yetenek Sizsiniz Türkiye. In 2017 he put out an EP with the indie-rock band Shall We?; in 2018 he co-founded Nefes Records with Fikret Ertan and Faruk Aydın Toksöz, through which he released the progressive-metal band Alkera's EP Live in Sin and, as Arıza Kontrol Saati, Turkish-language rock EPs.

As an actor he took lessons from teachers including Nazan Koçak, Süeda Çil and Berna Adıgüzel in 2014-2016. In 2016 he made his screen debut as a guest, playing Selim in Kiralık Aşk, and played Roy in Volkan Kocatürk's film Keşif. Later credits include Gülümse Kaderine, Yalnız Kurt, Yüz Yıllık Mucize and Zembilli.
