Acun Ilıcalı — Biography

Acun Ilıcalı was born in Edirne in 1969.

After attending the English Language Teaching Department of İstanbul University for 7 years, Acun Ilıcalı dropped out of school, married Seda Ilıcalı at the age of 19 and had a daughter named Banu.

Ilıcalı, who went into business by opening a denim store in 1995, was not successful.

His life changed when he met Show TV's financial controller İrfan Şahin, and he began working as a Beşiktaş reporter.

Acun Ilıcalı, whose star suddenly rose thanks to his sincere interviews, began working with Şansal Büyüka, presented a segment of his own on the program Televole and started traveling the world.

By founding Acun Medya in 2005, he became the producer, presenter and judge of many competition programs.

He is the presenter and producer of the competitions O Ses Türkiye and Survivor.

For a time, he did stand-up by recounting events he had experienced in various places.

He has two daughters named Leyla and Yasemin from Zeynep Yılmaz, whom he married in 2003.

Acun Ilıcalı, who acquired the Tv8 channel in 2013, took his success to the top by broadcasting many competition programs.
