Signora Enrica (Sinyora Enrica ile İtalyan Olmak)
Sinyora Enrica ile İtalyan Olmak (internationally released as Signora Enrica) is a 2010 Turkish-Italian comedy-drama written and directed by Ali İlhan. Shot on location in Istanbul and Rimini, the film screened at the 47th Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival.
The story centers on Sinyora Enrica (Claudia Cardinale), an elderly Italian woman who has refused to let any man into her home since her husband abandoned her years earlier, supporting herself by renting rooms to female students and taking in sewing work. That long-standing rule is broken one rainy night when a misunderstanding brings a Turkish exchange student, Ekin (İsmail Hacıoğlu), to her door, sparking an unlikely bond between them. Teoman Kumbaracıbaşı plays her estranged son Giovanni, who grew up largely without a father and struggles in his relationship with her. The cast also includes Fahriye Evcen as the younger Sinyora Enrica, along with Lavinia Longhi, Levent Can, Bedia Ener, and Kemal Başar.
