Alba Flores — Biography

Born Alba González Villa on 27 October 1986 in Madrid, Alba Flores comes from a family of performers: her father was the composer and guitarist Antonio Flores, her mother a theatre producer, and she is a granddaughter of the singer Lola Flores, niece of singers Lolita and Rosario Flores, and cousin of actress Elena Furiase, all of Roma heritage.

She began acting and music training at thirteen and made her screen debut in the 2005 film El Calentito, later reaching wider audiences as Jamila in the series El Tiempo Entre Costuras from 2013.

She drew attention as the imprisoned Saray Vargas in Vis a Vis, then found international fame playing Nairobi in the heist series La Casa de Papel, known internationally as Money Heist.

She has since played Caterina in the series Holy Family (Sagrada Familia), and remains active in groups that promote Roma culture.
