Almila Ada — Biography

Almila Ada is an actress, ballerina and model who moved from the ballet stage to television drama. She became known through the youth series Adı Efsane and consolidated her place on screen with Cennetin Gözyaşları, Güvercin and the role of Dönüş in Üç Kız Kardeş. In film she played Zeynep Koçak in Barış Akarsu Merhaba.

She spent part of her childhood in Russia and began ballet young. In her high-school years she took part in the Varna International Ballet Competition and the Prague Ballet Masterclass, studied ballet and piano at Istanbul University State Conservatory, finished her ballet training at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University, then studied ballet and performing arts in London. A casting director there encouraged her to act, and she won the audition for a ballerina to play the young version of Scarlett Johansson's character in Avengers: Age of Ultron. An Achilles tendon and bone problem brought her back to Istanbul for treatment, and she turned to television, with small parts in Kaderimin Yazıldığı Gün and Kırgın Çiçekler before her first lead in 2017's Adı Efsane, playing Erdal Beşikçioğlu's daughter. She then played Cennet opposite Berk Atan in Cennetin Gözyaşları, the young Melike Candan in Bir Deli Rüzgar and Zülüf in Güvercin.

Her short film The Strange Story of a Shining Pearl won three awards at the 2020 Queen Palm International Film Festival. She has modelled for Hollister, IQ, Vogue and InStyle, opened a pilates studio, Pointe Stüdyo, in 2018, and married İhsan Çilsal in 2025.
