Altan Gördüm — Biography
Altan Gördüm was born in Adana on 1 December 1958. In 1978 he enrolled at Ankara University's Faculty of Political Science, then entered acting through the courses of the Ankara Art Theatre in the 1979-1980 season, working there as an actor, director and instructor until the 1995-1996 season. After living in İzmir between 1996 and 2000 for personal reasons, he joined the State Theatre in Ankara in 2000 through its experienced-artist quota.
On television he is remembered for playing Panzer Emin Hoca in Hayat Bilgisi and Kamil in Kavak Yelleri, while in film he appeared in Devrim Arabaları, Labirent, Türk Pasaportu and Şeytan-ı Racim; he reached a wide audience as Haşmet Çolak in the series Bir Zamanlar Çukurova.
He was once married to actress Vahide Perçin, with whom he founded an acting school in Istanbul in 2009; the couple have a daughter, Alize. Following their 2013 divorce, he has said publicly that he and his former wife remain friends.
