Alvaro Morte — Biography

Álvaro Morte, born Álvaro Antonio García Pérez on 23 February 1975 in Algeciras, Cádiz, trained at the Higher School of Dramatic Arts of Córdoba and later attended courses at the University of Tampere in Finland.

He became known in Spain through the Antena 3 series Amar es Para Siempre and El Secreto de Puente Viejo, then gained worldwide fame playing Sergio Marquina, "The Professor," in Money Heist (La Casa de Papel) from 2017. He later played Logain Ablar in Amazon's The Wheel of Time and Spanish statesman Adolfo Suárez in The Anatomy of a Moment. He also directs theatre through the company 300 Pistolas, which he founded in 2012.
