Amar en tiempos revueltos

Amar en tiempos revueltos is a Spanish period soap opera broadcast on Spain's public channel La 1 between 27 September 2005 and 16 November 2012. Running for seven seasons, the production is set in the time of the Spanish Civil War and Francoist Spain, with the events taking place in Madrid. The series was adapted from the production Temps de silenci and was made by Diagonal TV and RTVE.

Over the course of its run, 1,707 episodes, eight special episodes and one recap episode were aired. Directors included Orestes Lara, Joan Noguera, Carlos Pérez Ferré, Eduardo Milewicz and Lluís Maria Güell; the writing team included Josep Maria Benet i Jornet, Antonio Onetti, Rodolf Sirera and Virginia Yagüe. The music bears the signature of Noel Molina. Because each season dealt with a different period and a different central love story, the cast changed considerably from season to season; Inma Cuesta, Álex García and Verónika Moral are among the names in this large ensemble.

The production won various awards in Spain and received a silver medal at the New York Festival. Following disagreements between the production company Diagonal TV and Radiotelevisión Española, the series was relaunched in January 2013 on the channel Antena 3 under the title Amar es para siempre.
