Can Yaman — Biography
Can Yaman was born on 8 November 1989 in Istanbul. After attending the Italian High School he graduated from the Faculty of Law at Yeditepe University and completed his legal training before setting law aside for acting lessons.
He made his television debut as Bedir in the 2014 series Gönül İşleri, then shared the lead in İnadına Aşk with Açelya Topaloğlu and went on to appear in Hangimiz Sevmedik and Dolunay.
His performance in the 2018 series Erkenci Kuş earned him the Golden Butterfly Award for Best Actor in a Romantic Comedy and the Murex d'Or in 2019, the same year he was named GQ's Man of the Year. His role in Bay Yanlış brought a further Golden Butterfly nomination in 2021.
Now based in Italy and fluent in Italian, French, English, German and Spanish, he founded the charity Can Yaman For Children in 2021 to support young patients. He continued his international career with the 2025 series Sandokan and El Turco.
