Canan Ergüder — Biography

Canan Ergüder was born on 15 July 1977 in Istanbul; she began her acting training at Franklin and Marshall College in the United States and completed a master's degree in the Actors Studio Drama Program at The New School.

An Actors Studio lifetime member, she entered Turkish television in 2006 with the series Bıçak Sırtı.

She played Ece Akınay in Binbir Gece, prosecutor Esra in Behzat Ç., and Gülfem Sipahi in Güllerin Savaşı; her performance in the play Bayrak brought her the supporting-actress prize at the 13th Afife Theatre Awards.

Following series such as Galip Derviş and Yıldızlar Şahidim, she took part in newer projects including Aile and İstanbul Ansiklopedisi, and returned to Behzat Ç. years later as a guest performer.
