Cem Uçan — Biography

Cem Uçan is a Turkish actor who turns up regularly in supporting roles in historical drama; he is best remembered as Bıçak Ali in Filinta and Aliyar in Diriliş Ertuğrul, a character who left the series by dying in 2017. Alongside acting he has worked in theatre and music production. Most recently, in 2024, he played Musa Taziyev in Ben Bu Cihana Sığmazam.

His screen career began in 2012 with Acayip Hikayeler, and the same year he appeared in Bir Zamanlar Osmanlı Kıyam and Kurt Kanunu. In 2013 came the series Küçük Kıyamet and the film Su ve Ateş, and in 2014 Hıyanet Sarmalı, Sungurlar and Kurtlar Vadisi Pusu. He later moved into cinema as well, with Tatlı Şeyler, Hürkuş: Göklerdeki Kahraman, Deliler and, as Gökkurt, Vlad the Impaler. In 2018 he played Serhafiye Ahmed Celaleddin Paşa in the TRT series Payitaht Abdülhamid.

In 2021 news outlets reported that he had won a best actor award. In November 2025 his words of praise for President Erdoğan were widely picked up by news sites.
