Filinta

Filinta is an Ottoman-era detective action series created for TRT1 by Yusuf Esenkal and Serdar Öğretici and produced by Es Film. It premiered on December 23, 2014, and ran until 2016, filmed at the Seka Park Film studio in İzmit on one of the largest sets ever built for a Turkish television series. The story follows Filinta Mustafa, a sharp and skillful young policeman played by Onur Tuna, who works alongside his close friend and fellow orphan Ali to solve mysterious crimes in the capital, with characters such as the wise court judge Gıyaseddin also woven into the plot.

The cast includes Berrak Tüzünataç, Nur Fettahoğlu, and Cem Uçan. Regarded as one of the most expensive Turkish television productions of its time, the series was described by a source cited in The Hollywood Reporter as "a crude Ottoman Downton Abbey," and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and his wife Emine reportedly counted among its fans and visited the set.
