Kaan Urgancıoğlu — Biography
Kaan Urgancıoğlu (born 8 May 1981, İzmir) works as an actor in Turkish film and television. After finishing high school in İzmir he studied finance at Marmara University, and in 2002 he stepped into acting through a television adaptation of the comic strip Karaoğlan, gaining wider recognition through the youth drama Kampüsistan. He trained as an actor in the United States for six months in 2008.
His breakthrough came as Emir Kozcuoğlu in the series Kara Sevda (Endless Love), which found audiences in well over a hundred countries. His performance as İlgaz Kaya in the series Yargı earned him a Golden Butterfly Award for Best Actor, and both series are among the very few Turkish productions to win an International Emmy Award. He has also appeared in the Netflix series Aşk 101 (Love 101) and in the 2023 film Operation Fortune: Ruse de Guerre.
