Karaoğlan

Karaoğlan is a Turkish television series that aired on Kanal D in 2002. Produced by ANS Productions, the show combines historical, action and drama elements in a single adventure format. It is a small-screen adaptation of the legendary comic-book hero created by Suat Yalaz, with Özlem Tekin and Kaan Urgancıoğlu in the leading roles. The story follows the exploits of the young warrior Karaoğlan, raised amid the harsh world of the Central Asian steppes. The production proved short-lived, however, ending its run after only seven episodes. Despite its brief time on air, it is still remembered as one of the rare attempts to bring one of Turkey's most famous comic characters to television with live actors.
