Tuba Ünsal — Biography

Tuba Ünsal, born on 7 December 1981 in Denizli, is a Turkish actress and former model. She attended primary school in Vize, Kırklareli, middle school in Şanlıurfa and high school in İzmir. She first enrolled in business administration at Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University, but paused her studies and eventually graduated from the photography and video department of Istanbul Bilgi University. In 1998 she entered the Elite Model Look competition and began working as a fashion model, though acting soon became her main profession.

Ünsal started appearing on screen as a child in the 1990s and reached a wide audience with her role as Tuuba in Vizontele Tuuba (2004). Her film credits include Çılgın Dersane (2007), Plajda (2008), Çakallarla Dans (2010) and Dünya'nın En Güzel Kokusu (2016). On television she has appeared in series such as Kara Melek, Öyle Bir Geçer Zaman ki, İçerde and Gecenin Ucunda. Moving from modelling into acting, she became one of the familiar faces of Turkish cinema and television.
