Vizontele Tuuba

Vizontele Tuuba is a 2003 Turkish comedy-drama film written and directed by Yılmaz Erdoğan, who also plays the lead, produced by BKM. Released nationwide in Turkey on January 23, 2004, it is a sequel to the hugely successful Vizontele (2001) and draws on the writer-director's childhood memories of the summer of 1980. The story picks up six years after the events of the first film, set in a small, apolitical town in eastern Anatolia during the period of the 1980 military coup.

At the heart of the film is Güner Sernikli, a librarian exiled from the west, who arrives with his wife and their wheelchair-using daughter Tuba. The different political ideas the family brings, Deli Emin's feelings for Tuba, and the country's turmoil transform the town's life. Erdoğan is joined in the cast by Tarık Akan, Demet Akbağ, Tuba Ünsal, Altan Erkekli and Tolga Çevik.
