Cenk Kangöz — Biography

Cenk Kangöz is an actor who mostly plays hard, menacing supporting characters in series and film; he has said in an interview that he enjoys playing villains. He became widely known as the ruthless Hasan in Medcezir, while his Philip in Diriliş Ertuğrul won viewers over. In recent years he has appeared in series such as Üç Kuruş and Aile.

He trained with on-camera acting and diction classes at Akademi 35 Buçuk. His first television job was Kurtlar Vadisi Pusu, followed by Yaşar in Fatmagül'ün Suçu Ne?. He moved into cinema in 2009 with Kolpaçino: Bir Şehir Efsanesi and appeared in G.D.O. KaraKedi in 2013. From 2014 he played Hasan in Medcezir, and he left Diriliş Ertuğrul at the end of 2016. Eşkıya Dünyaya Hükümdar Olmaz, Kördüğüm and Azize are also among his credits.

Later he played Hiram in Vurgun, Cemal in Kırmızı Oda, Mesut in Üç Kuruş and, in 2024, Babür in Aile; in 2022 he played Dragan in the film Adanış: Kutsal Kavga. In January 2026 it was reported that a shuttle driver had pulled a gun on him and a friend and threatened them during a ski holiday in Sarıkamış, and that an investigation was under way.
