Cüneyt Mete — Biography
Cüneyt Mete is an actor who combines the stage of the Ankara State Theatre with television series. His longest-running job was Kenan in Unutma Beni, which he played across eight seasons; in later years he was remembered as Cemal Göreçki in Aşk ve Mavi and Orhan in Kardeşlerim. Since 2024 he has played Yaşar Demir in ATV's Can Borcu.
From a family originally from Şavşat in Artvin, Mete was born in Bornova, İzmir, completed his training in the theatre department of Ankara University State Conservatory and lives in Ankara. His first steps on camera were the film Varyemez and a short film. From the mid-2000s he took part in productions such as Köprü, Zincirbozan, Kurtlar Vadisi Terör, Yeni Evli, Kayıp Prenses and Ayrılık. Beni Affet brought him to a wider audience, followed by Aşkların En Güzeli, Aşk ve Mavi (2016-2018) and Kardeşlerim (2021-2024), where he shared the cast with Fadik Sevin Atasoy and others.
He met his colleague Şeyma Korkmaz on the set of Beni Affet and married her in 2019. He has twin children.
