The Bridge (Köprü) (translated)

Köprü is a Turkish drama with adventure and political overtones, drawn from Ayşe Kulin's novel of the same name, produced by Koliba Film and broadcast on Star TV. Direction was shared between Sadullah Şentürk, who would later helm Kurtlar Vadisi Pusu, and Çağatay Tosun.

The show centers on the construction of the Başpınar Bridge, a project pushed forward during a governor's tenure in Erzincan, and follows the people whose lives become entangled in that effort, blending public duty with personal struggle. Running for two seasons, the series concluded with its 65th episode.

The large cast is led by Erdal Beşikçioğlu and İdil Fırat, joined by Selim Bayraktar, Cüneyt Mete, Arif Pişkin, Ayşegül Ünsal, Canan Maktal, Emre Ön, Erkan Avcı, Gökhan Azlağ, Korel Cezayirli, Necip Memili, Serap Matyaş, Suat Karausta, İpek Karapınar and Yaman Tarcan.
