İpek Karapınar — Biography
İpek Karapınar is a familiar face of Turkish television drama from the 2010s: she broke through as Arzu in the teen series Küçük Sırlar and reached her widest audience as the lead Feride in Kırgın Çiçekler (2015-2018). More recently she played Çolpan Hatun in Destan.
She came to acting through music, studying violin at the Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University Conservatory. Her television start was Hatırla Sevgili, and Aslı Yazıcı in Köprü was the part that first drew attention. She had a recurring role in Kurtlar Vadisi Pusu and played Cansu in Talih Kuşu. After Küçük Sırlar she moved quickly between genres: Sinem in Zehirli Sarmaşık, Nihal in the period series Ustura Kemal, Leyla in Adını Kalbime Yazdım and Yelda Güçlü in Hayat Yolunda. A later credit is the period series Destan.
She accepted director Ali Balcı's marriage proposal in Hamburg in April 2025, became engaged in June 2025 and married him in August 2025. In May 2026 she announced that she was expecting a child.
