Arif Pişkin — Biography

Arif Pişkin is an actor who moved from Anatolian regional theatre into television and has kept both careers going. He reached a wide audience as Özkan in Eşkıya Dünyaya Hükümdar Olmaz, and in 2025 he played Arnavut Saim in Veliaht. Alongside acting he has long worked as a theatre teacher.

He trained at the Theatre Department of the Anadolu University State Conservatory. After graduating in 1994 he became one of the founders of the Eskişehir Tiyatora company, then performed on the stage of Tiyatro Anadolu from 1999 to 2015, while teaching at the same conservatory until 2017. After moving to Istanbul he taught at Yeditepe University, played in productions by DasDas and Oyun Atölyesi, and in 2018 directed Yakaranlar at DasDas. On screen he started with the film Ölürayak and the series Kurtuluş, continuing with Yaban, Köprü, Gece Sesleri, Mor Menekşeler, Kolej Günlüğü, Vicdan and Güllerin Savaşı.

In recent years he has played Selçuk Taşkın in Son Yaz, Selahattin in the film Bergen, Tahir in Gül Masalı, Suleiman the Magnificent in Barbaros Hayreddin: Sultanın Fermanı and Namık in Kısmet, and he appeared as Kadir Adarlı in Yargı. In the 2024-2025 season he performed the one-man play İnadına Yaşamak at HOP Sahne.
