Damla Colbay — Biography

Damla Colbay is a Turkish actress from İzmir, best known as the reporter Eylem Aydın in the crime series İçerde. Its first episode reached 11.6 million views on YouTube by July 2017, a record for a Turkish series at the time, and the show made her a familiar face for a wide audience. In 2026 she joined the cast of Teşkilat, reuniting with the other two actresses of İçerde after several years.

She came to Istanbul for a university internship and made her screen debut in 2014 as Demet in Kara Para Aşk. The following year she landed her first lead, İnci Temizyürek in Hayat Mucizelere Gebe, a Turkish take on Jane the Virgin that ended after seven episodes because of low ratings. The real turning point was İçerde in 2016-2017. After a short stint in Zengin ve Yoksul in 2019, she played Zeynep Can in Hekimoğlu, which began airing that December, and left it in 2021. In 2022 she appeared as Sare Türkmen in Yalnız Kurt and as Selin in Sıfırıncı Gün.

She trained in acting at Dokuz Eylül University. She is a fan of the Sailor Moon comics and of director Pedro Almodóvar.
