Bensu Soral — Biography

Bensu Soral is a Turkish actress who moved from youth series into crime dramas and comedies. She is best known as Aslı Metiner in Tatlı Küçük Yalancılar and the lawyer Melek Yılmaz in İçerde, and most recently appeared in the Netflix series Organize İşler: Karun Hazinesi.

Her screen debut came in 2012 as Ayşe in TRT 1's Kemal Tahir adaptation Yol Ayrımı. She then played Müge in Vicdan and Miray in the youth comedy Boynu Bükükler. The turning point was Tatlı Küçük Yalancılar (2015), the Turkish version of Pretty Little Liars, which won her the Rising Star prize at the 42nd Pantene Golden Butterfly Awards that year. İçerde (2016-2017) gave her a more mature part as the lawyer of Çetin Tekindor's character Kebapçı Celal. Later she leaned toward cinema, playing Nazlı Noyan in Organize İşler: Sazan Sarmalı and Meryem in Mevlana Mest-i Aşk, while on television she was Leyla in Cam Tavanlar and Çiçek in Tuzak, and Azra in the Netflix film Özel Ders.

She grew up in İnegöl, in Bursa province, the daughter of a furniture maker, studied graphic design at Marmara University and turned to acting with the support of her sister, the actress Hande Soral. She began painting during the pandemic.
