Çağlar Ertuğrul — Biography

Çağlar Ertuğrul is a Turkish actor and mechanical engineer born on 5 November 1987 in the Karşıyaka district of İzmir, holding a mechanical engineering degree from Koç University. Trained at the Akademi 35 Buçuk acting school, he took his first role in the 2012 series Benim İçin Üzülme. He went on to appear in Medcezir, Beyaz Karanfil, Kurt Seyit ve Şura, and Boynu Bükükler before playing Yağız in Fazilet Hanım ve Kızları. His performance in Afili Aşk earned him the 2020 Golden Butterfly Award for Best Actor in a Romantic Comedy, and his role in Teşkilat brought him the 2021 Golden Butterfly Award for Best Actor in a TV Series. His film credits include Dağ, Dağ 2, Biz Size Döneriz, Bana Masal Anlatma, and Yanımda Kal; he most recently starred in the series Kalpazan and is set to return to screens in Çirkin.
