Telling Tales (Bana Masal Anlatma)
Bana Masal Anlatma is a Turkish comedy that opened in cinemas in January 2015, marking the feature directorial debut of Burak Aksak, who is better known for creating the television series Leyla ile Mecnun and who also wrote the script himself.
The plot follows Rıza, a good-natured but socially awkward minibus driver who is a familiar and well-liked figure among the shopkeepers and residents of the old neighborhood where he was raised. His steady routine is disrupted when he crosses paths with Ayperi, a spirited young woman whose arrival pushes him to reconsider everything he thought he understood about life and love.
Produced under the BKM banner, the movie stars Fatih Artman opposite Hande Doğandemir, with supporting turns from Cengiz Bozkurt, Devrim Yakut, Erdal Tosun, Tarık Ünlüoğlu, Berat Yenilmez and Ercan Yazgan, while Gökçe Bahadır, Gürkan Uygun and Yılmaz Erdoğan appear in brief guest roles.
