Eda Özerkan — Biography

Eda Özerkan trained in painting and dance at a Kadıköy vocational high school before signing with the Neşe Erberk agency and working as a model at home and abroad, appearing in commercials and music videos, including Tarkan's "Dudu" and Hakan Peker's "Veda Busesi". In 2002 she gained attention as one of the dancers on Beyaz Show, and in 2003 she worked as a VJ on Kral TV.

After acting lessons with Ayla Algan at Ekol Drama, she moved into film, appearing in Osman Sınav's Pars: Operation Cherry in 2006. She reached wider fame in 2008 as Elif, the fiancée of Kıvanç Tatlıtuğ's character Behlül, in the television adaptation of Halid Ziya Uşaklıgil's Aşk-ı Memnu. She went on to appear in İstanbul'u Ölesiye Sevmek, Adanalı and Firar, and competed on the celebrity team of Survivor in 2014. Özerkan is married to actor Timur Acar, and the couple have two daughters.
