Gonca Vuslateri — Biography

Gonca Vuslateri is a Turkish actress whose work spans television comedy, theatre, newspaper columns and screenwriting. She became widely recognised for Yalan Dünya, where she played two characters at once, above all the elderly Aunt Vasfiye. Since late 2025 she has been seen in Leyla: Hayat... Aşk... Adalet... as Nur Yıldız.

She took acting lessons from childhood, studied theatre at the Müjdat Gezen Art Center and made her first screen appearance in Ruhsar. Small parts followed in series such as Aliye, Eyvah Kızım Büyüdü and Canım Ailem. The turning point came with Ceyla in Küçük Sırlar and with Yerden Yüksek, and Yalan Dünya then made her one of the recognisable faces of Turkish comedy. Later she played Şule Akçay in Anne and Derin Günday Boztepe in Tehlikeli Karım. On the big screen she appeared in Bornova Bornova, Kaybedenler Kulübü, Bizans Oyunları: Geym of Bizans, Düğüm Salonu and Zaferin Rengi, and she also took part in the Netflix series Sıcak Kafa.

For her comedy performance she received the Golden Butterfly for best comedy actress, and on stage she has won two Afife Jale awards and a Sadri Alışık award. She has published a poetry book, Manik Serçe, wrote the screenplay of the film Cenazemize Hoş Geldiniz, writes a column for Hürriyet and presents a programme on NTV Radio.
