Nihan Büyükağaç — Biography

Nihan Büyükağaç is a television and film actress with a theatre background. Her best-known part is Gülşah in Muhteşem Yüzyıl, and in recent years she has appeared as Macide Baykara in Adı Sevgi and as Havva in Sevdiğim Sensin.

She graduated from the Theatre Department of Ankara University's Faculty of Languages, History and Geography and came to the screen in 2005 with Büyük Buluşma. Her first wide recognition arrived in 2006 as Tamara in Fırtına; she took roles in Sınıf, Derdest and Ayrılık and made her film appearance in 2009 in Yüreğine Sor, directed by Yusuf Kurçenli. Muhteşem Yüzyıl opened the second phase. After it she played Alev in Gönül İşleri, Emine in Gecenin Kraliçesi and Adalet in Cesur ve Güzel, and Asiye in the film Oflu Hoca'nın Şifresi 2. In 2018 she played Nihan, a character sharing her own name, in Bir Umut Yeter, followed by parts in productions such as Seni Çok Bekledim, Ada Masalı and Adı Sevgi. She is also credited as Şevval in Kardeşlerim.

She divorced her husband, a sound technician, in 2022 over differences of opinion.
